Family Retreat in Mt. Shasta
Alex and Lyn called us with a vision for a family home nestled in the pines of Mt. Shasta. We worked alongside a local engineer/designer to get their dreams down on paper. Their goal was to create a home with an updated yet timeless style, ensuring their family could enjoy the gathering place for decades to come. Together, we carefully positioned the home on their two-acre property to maximize privacy and capture the stunning Mt. Shasta views.
Ashland 1950's Renovation
We collaborated with Linda to restore and update her 1950s downtown home, transforming her tiny bathroom into a stylish, functional space and giving her kitchen a fresh, modern look. With a smart, budget-conscious approach, she kept her existing appliances and selected new fixtures and hardware to complement them. In the bathroom, she opted for a panelized plank shower surround that simulates tile, saving thousands in material and labor costs. For the kitchen, she chose Thinscape countertops, achieving a sleek stone look that perfectly complemented her thoughtful design choices.
Ashland Home Revamp
Forest approached us with a vision to refresh his home, starting with the installation of faux wood beams and a full kitchen remodel. As these projects took shape, he expanded his plans to include replacing various doors throughout the home, including the front door, and completely redesigning his downstairs bathroom. We also refurbished his garage door, giving it a fresh new look. To complete the transformation, Forest added a custom backyard deck, creating a beautiful and functional space around his hot tub and cold plunge. The result is a thoughtfully updated home with enhanced style and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Dunsmuir Hillside Home Restoration
Bruce turned a challenging situation—a 10-ton tree crashing onto his early 1900s hillside home—into an opportunity for improvement. The home’s aging rock foundation, already compromised by the steep terrain, required a thoughtful approach. Working with a local engineer, we reinforced the existing structure and replaced the original foundation with a modern stem-wall system for greater stability. We rebuilt two-thirds of the home with a new subfloor, walls, and an entirely new roof structure. Given the hillside’s complexity, we also installed proper drainage to protect the home for years to come.
Dunsmuir Rental Renewal
Our clients needed to update their aging rental property to make it market-ready while keeping costs low to maintain a strong return on investment. To achieve this, we replaced sections of the foundation, upgraded all plumbing and electrical systems, installed new bathroom fixtures, restored the laundry room, and updated the flooring throughout —ensuring the home was safe, functional, and ready for new tenants.
